Statement by the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States following the twin attacks in Mogadishu
Brussels, 16 October 2017/ ACP: The African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States is deeply shocked by the twin attacks carried out in Mogadishu on 14 October 2017.
The ACP Group of States strongly condemns this heinous act, which led to the loss of an exceptionally large number of innocent lives.
The Group reaffirms its solidarity and sympathy with the Government and the People of Somalia on this painful occasion, and is appealing to the international community to redouble its efforts to fight against the hydra of terrorism.
The ACP Group of States expresses its most sincere condolences to the bereaved families, and wishes a speedy recovery to the many injured.
