PHOTO OF THE DAY: ACP Secretary General meets with Guyana’s President Granger at CARICOM Summit
Bridgetown, Barbados, 3 July 2015/ ACP: At the 36th Session of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), held in Barbados on July 2-4, 2015, as a specially invited Guest, the ACP Secretary-General Dr. Patrick I. Gomes conveyed in person the congratulations of the ACP Group of States to the newly-elected President of Guyana, H.E. Brigadaire (Retd.) David Granger, and offered continuing support especially on issues of climate change and implementation of CARICOM's regional Food & Nutrition Strategy.
The Secretary-General (left) is pictured in discussions next to President Granger, in the company of Dr. Neville Trotz, Adviser to the Belize-based Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC), and on the far right, Dr. John Deep Ford, FAO's Sub-regional Director for CARICOM and the Commission of the Eastern Caribbean States (ECS), whose office is in Barbados.
