ACP Joint Stakeholder Conference on higher education, research, science & technology
Brussels, 30 June 2016/ Edulink/ ACP: On 5-6 July 2016, the Secretariat of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP Secretariat) will be hosting a Joint Stakeholders’ Conference for the currently running projects from the following ACP-EU collaborative programmes:
- EDULINK II
- ACP Science and Technology Programme II
- ACP Caribbean & Pacific Research Programme for Sustainable Development
The aim of the 2016 conference is to bring together grant beneficiaries of these three programmes to network and share experiences on project management, with a particular focus on results, impacts and lessons learnt.
It will also be the occasion to reflect on progressed outcomes and project achievements in light of the fact that most participating projects are in their final phases of implementation. The conference will provide an opportunity for participants to share the lessons learnt and good practices in project management, acquired over the past years.
The three programmes offer opportunities for actors in the ACP higher education and research sectors to address both the structural as well as the scientific and technological challenges faced by African , Caribbean and Pacific Member States. The continued participation of a variety of organisations in these three programmes is extremely impressive and a clear demonstration of the substantial interest amongst the academic and science communities.
The three programmes offer a unique framework for actors, both from the ACP Member States and from across the world to connect and collaborate in a truly global exchange of experiences and know-how in pursuit of the development of equitable knowledge-based societies.
