Brussels, 11 May 2021/OACPS: Today Muslims around the world are celebrating Eid-Ul-Fitr, the festival marking the end of the Holy month of Ramadan.

I would like to take this opportunity to single out our Muslim brethren in the OACPS to wish them Eid Mubarak and all the very best on this auspicious occasion.

After a month of fasting and spiritual reflection, Eid is a time when families and friends gather and celebrate their faith. However, in these challenging times, you might not be able to come together and connect as you normally would, since, still, as ever, our number one priority remains to keep all our loved ones and our communities safe. Be assured that here in Brussels, from the Headquarters of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), we are working hard to address the issues of health inequality and the equitable distribution of vaccines in our Member States.

May this special day ignite the spirit of unity and solidarity in the OACPS. May it bring you, your family and your Community unlimited joy.
