INFORMAL MEETING OF ORGANISATION OF AFRICAN CARIBBEAN AND PACIFIC STATES (OACPS) MINISTERS WITH PORTFOLIO RESPONSIBILITIES RELATED TO THE FISHERIES SUBSIDIES NEGOTIATIONS IN THE WTO
The Coordination of the OACPS Group in Geneva convened on 24th June 2021 an informal meeting of OACPS Ministers with portfolio responsibilities related to the fisheries subsidies negotiations in the World Trade Organisation (WTO). The main objective of the meeting was to prepare OACPS Ministers for the meeting convened by the Director-General of the WTO for 15 July 2021 to discuss the way forward for negotiations in the run-up to the Twelfth WTO Ministerial Conference starting on 29 November 2021.
The meeting underscored the positions of the Group and the interests of OACPS both offensively and defensively. The final outcome document of the meeting can be accessed below:
