The Secretariat of the Organisation of the African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) has announced that it is collaborating with a business consultant, funded by the Government of Indonesia, to support the Secretariat in the area of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The move comes as part of an agreement between the Secretariat and the Government of Indonesia, based on a Letter of Intent (LOI) previously signed to support the Secretariat.

According to the Secretariat, the collaboration with the business consultant from Indonesia will enable the Secretariat to strengthen its ICT capabilities and enhance its overall operations. The consultant will provide technical assistance, training, and capacity-building support to the Secretariat, with a focus on improving the Secretariat’s digital infrastructure and systems.

The Secretariat has expressed gratitude to the Government of Indonesia for its continued support and commitment to the OACPS. The Secretariat noted that the collaboration with the business consultant from Indonesia is a heart-warming example of the tremendous support towards the OACPS from the Government of Indonesia.

The Secretariat has also highlighted the importance of ICT in the organisation’s operations, particularly in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Secretariat noted that the collaboration with the business consultant from Indonesia would help to ensure that the Secretariat can continue to effectively serve its member states and advance the development agenda of the OACPS.
