OACPS SECRETARY-GENERAL STATEMENT ON SUDAN

The Secretary-General of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), H.E. Mr. Moussa Batraki, has expressed deep concern and condemnation about the recent drone attack on Port Sudan, which resulted in damage to critical civilian infrastructure facilities, further jeopardizing the safety of innocent people, and of the humanitarian staff and operations.

The Secretary-General underscores the crucial role Port Sudan has fulfilled as a logistical and humanitarian hub particularly during the current crisis and calls on all parties involved in the conflict to adhere to international human rights law and international humanitarian law.
